A NZ A ASM's are usually held in November each year, except when the ANZCA parent organisation holds its principal ANZCA annual scientific meeting in New Zealand, or when the NZSA is involved in a wider conference. Conferences, meetings and courses that may be of interest

ANZAEC has no association with the following meetings and publishes this information for the interest of New Zealand anaesthetists:

  • EMAC (Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises) Courses: these 2½-day courses provide techniques in the management of anaesthetic emergencies. They are run in Auckland and Wellington on various dates throughout the year, click on your preferred location for more information.

  • Part 0 Course: an introductory course that introduces prospective and new trainees to the training structure, curriculum, trainee welfare and basic clinical skills in anaesthesia. click here for more information.

  • Part 3 Course: an interactive one-day programme that gives senior anaesthesia trainees (ATY1-3) an opportunity to explore issues they face in making the transition between RMO and SMO.  Part 3 ran on 5 December 2019 and was very successful.
